Renée Kattenwinkel has worked as a receptionist at Van Till since 2008.
“The reception at Van Till is a lively, multi-faceted area of the company. So much happens here throughout the day; sometimes it’s just like a film: staff leaving and entering or stopping for a chat, the telephone ringing, and clients with an appointment. Some of them have been coming here for years. I’ve really developed a connection with them over time.”
“I have an artistic background. I attended the Rijksacademie for visual art many years ago. Once I had children of my own to care for, I started doing reception work alongside painting, and I also studied analytical chemistry for a while. My children left home long ago, and I have plans to return to creative activities. In the future, I want to design and create lamps with my son.”
“When I started at Van Till in 2008, I didn’t intend on staying so long. Before this, I worked around the corner at the operating theatre scheduling department of a clinic. However, this department went bankrupt. I ended up at Van Till via an employment agency, and have been here ever since. I felt at home from the first day. I have never stayed in one place for so long. There’s a good atmosphere here, and mutual respect. You won’t find that at every company.”
